Maharishi Sthāpatya Veda®
Maharishi Sthāpatya Veda is the most ancient and supreme system of country, town, village, and home planning in accord with Natural Law, connecting individual life with cosmic life, and individual intelligence with cosmic intelligence. The principle of Maharishi Sthāpatya Veda is to establish any building, any village, any city, any country in full alignment with the structuring dynamics of the whole universe, which maintains the connectedness of everything with everything else.
The ancient texts of Veda describe the knowledge (Veda) of establishing form (Sthāpatya). Their primary application is in the area of architecture and community design.
Much of the knowledge of Sthāpatya Veda had been fragmented or lost until recent times. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the world-wide Transcendental Meditation program, worked with the foremost experts of Sthāpatya Veda in India to restore and provide this timeless knowledge to the world. The system as he has restored it is referred to as Maharishi Sthāpatya Veda architecture, Maharishi Vedic architecture or Maharishi Vāstu architecture.
It uses precise mathematical formulas, equations, and proportions to design buildings in perfect harmony with Natural Law—with nature’s laws and rhythms. This involves right orientation, right proportion and right placement. In peer-reviewed studies, clients overwhelmingly experience improved health and vitality.
Maharishi Sthāpatya Veda homes in every style, office buildings, and entire communities are currently in 57 countries and 37 US states.
In a worldwide survey of 187 residents of MVA homes:
92% reported greater overall success
89% reported improved quality of life
89% of parents reported their children are happier
85% reported less stress
78% reported improved family relations
